Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping every aspect of healthcare—from diagnostics and predictive analytics to patient engagement and operational efficiency. Yet with these advances come deep challenges around trust, ethics, and workforce readiness. Healthcare associations are being called upon to lead this transformation, equipping members to use AI responsibly while ensuring equity and human-centered care remain at the forefront.
This conversation with Elizabeth Schumacher, JD, founder of Affinity Strategies, explores how associations can serve as both ethical stewards and innovation enablers in the AI revolution. Participants will hear about the barriers to AI adoption, including digital illiteracy, fragmented data systems, and misinformation, and identify solutions that promote trust, education, and interoperability. She will also share some real-world initiatives so attendees can gain insight into how associations can help bridge the gap between innovation and implementation.
