Jay Cariño has over 18 years of valuable experience in the association industry and currently serves as the Vice President of Membership Services at the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). He provides strong strategic leadership in this critical role that drives membership growth, innovation, and engagement to new heights.
Before joining the AOA, Jay held the Vice President of Member Services position at the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals. There, he excelled in developing and implementing effective strategies to address operational challenges affecting membership acquisition and engagement while maintaining a strong focus on meeting members' diverse needs. He also oversaw comprehensive leadership development programs, including the nomination process, training, and recruitment of board and committee volunteers. Jay has successfully led initiatives in Member Services, Volunteerism, and Chapter Management.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jay is a respected co-founder of Association Latinos and serves as Treasurer on its board of directors. He is also an influential member of the Association Forum Board of Directors.
A highly accomplished individual, Jay holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from St. Peter’s College and a master’s degree in business administration from Argosy University. He is a certified association executive (CAE), a distinguished scholar of ASAE’s Diversity and Executive Leadership Program, and the recipient of the Association Forum's John C. Thiel Distinguished Service Award in 2021.
