Based on Association Laboratory’s global study, The Strategic and Economic Impact of COVID-19 on the Association Sector, this event will provide an in-depth look at the data collected during the final two weeks of March. This global study of more than 1,000 association leaders offers the most current, objective picture of the situation facing associations.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions of three leading association experts who contributed to the report.  Areas this webinar will cover:

Adapting Your Association’s Strategy – Dean West, FASAE

Legal Strategy and Risk Mitigation – Paula Cozzi Goedert, JD

Financial Strategy and Risk Mitigation - Rob Olcott, FASAE, CAE

The data presented in this webinar is the most comprehensive analysis to date of the business environment facing associations and association leaders in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar will review the following key points.

  • Risk Profile - How well prepared are associations to weather the economic disruption and which associations are at risk?
  • Near Term Impact - What was the most common near-term response that associations took to adapt to this dynamic environment?
  • Stakeholder Implications - What are implications on members, sponsors and exhibitors and speakers/subject matter experts?
  • Future Focused Solutions - What are association strategies and legal and financial considerations that should be the focus for associations moving forward?

Prior to the webinar, you can access the FREE report, The Strategic and Economic Implications of COVID-19 on the Association Sector. The nearly 60-page, in-depth research report provides insights by association size and scope and includes nearly 10 pages of ideas and recommendations to help your association move forward during this crisis. https://bit.ly/AssocLabCOVID19Study

In addition, participants will receive a 15% discount on the 9th edition of Looking Forward™ 2020. This globally recognized environmental scan of the association strategy environment has been updated to take the COVID-19 impact into account. Learn from more than 500 association leaders on the following:

  • The changes in the business environment they believe will most impact their members.
  • The implications they see for association strategy (from membership to meetings).
  • The strategies they think are most likely to position associations for success.

These two sector-wide studies will give you and your leaders the most current, relevant and actionable data to inform your decisions.

The COVID 19 and the Looking Forward™ 2020 research projects, led by Association Laboratory, were a cooperative industry-wide effort utilizing the Association Laboratory Research Alliance. The Association Laboratory Research Alliance is a diverse alliance of state, national and global specialty societies formed to investigate the changing environment facing associations and to present the business models association leaders are designing to adapt to this environment.
